StoryFinders Baby & Toddler Group

The group meets every Wednesday during term time between 1.30-3.30pm at St John’s Church Hall, which is next to the church. Parking is on the road opposite the church.

Our sessions begin with free play in the hall, where a variety of stimulating toys catering for all ages and abilities are available. Parents, grandparents and carers can enjoy tea, coffee and a good natter while the children play.

We then move into our StoryFinders room, where we all sit to listen to a Bible story told in an engaging style using props and models. Following a short Bible reading and prayer, we then share our feast together, of drinks and biscuits!

Returning to the hall, it’s then time for our craft activities, usually relating to the story – painting, sticking and messy play. Weather permitting, we can also go outside into the enclosed playground to enjoy crafts and play.

We ask a contribution of £1 per first child and 50p for each sibling, which includes drinks and biscuits.

We also have a changing mat, nappy sacks, baby wipes, a potty and toilet seat if required. Bottles can also be warmed up in our fully equipped kitchen.

Our group is run by members of St Edward’s and St John’s Churches and a warm welcome is assured to people of all religious backgrounds or none.
