Leek Club Day, also known as Walking Round Day, is an annual Leek festival that has been held for over 200 years. A day when all our Churches, Church groups, local schools, Guides, Brownies, Rainbows, Scouts & Cubs come together with local leaders and a number of marching bands to celebrate our community.
The event starts in the Market Place at 1.30pm, where Moorlands Praise will get us in the party mood with some lively modern worship songs.
We’ll then join together for a short celebration service at 2.30pm. This year we’re led by Bishop David McGough – auxillary Bishop of Birmingham & members from St Mary’s Church. The theme this year is Peace.
Our Walking Round town then commences, at approximately 3pm.
On returning to the Market Place, we’ll then disperse to our respective bases for refreshments & fun!
This event is open to all. Get to the Market Place, tag along and walk with us to celebrate our great community here in Leek!
