Twelve candidates were confirmed yesterday by Bishop Geoff of Stafford at a moving service at St Matthew’s church. Confirmation is a point in a Christian journey at which we confirm the promises made often by our parents and godparents for us. Three of the candidates were baptised during the service and all twelve stated that they intend to lead a life of committed discipleship.

Bishop Geoff laid hands on each of the candidates and asked God to give them power, through the Holy Spirit, to enable them to live in the way of Jesus.
